In 2015, The Tissue Viability Society were delighted to collaborate with The European Wound Management Association (EWMA) at their biggest ever conference at the Excel in London. A record number of exhibitors and participants attended!
2015 marked the 35th Anniversary of the TVS and the TVS celebrated aboard the Sunborn Hotel, moored at The Royal Victoria Dock next to the Excel. Special thanks to Vancive Medical Technologies, who sponsored the event, and to all our guests that joined us for the evening.
The Pearly King & Queen of Mile End gave a traditional East End welcome during the Pre Registration Event and a fabulous Marching Band opened the conference with renditions of Thriller and Don’t Stop Me Now!
An amazing number of abstracts were submitted and if you missed the opportunity to view them during the E-Poster sessions, they can now be downloaded here.
The TVS were delighted to see so many people at their stand and signed up lots of new members to the Society. If you’d like to join, please click here. The cost is only £30 per year or £10 for students.
The TVS Stream was held on Thursday 14th May and we heard from Brian & Yvonne Rawson who gave a very honest and open talk on living with a wound. Caroline Lecko, Dr Susanne Coleman, Regional Tissue Viability Groups and Professor Gerard Stansby were amongst the other speakers on the day and a copy of the programme can be downloaded here. Please do get in touch if you would like any further information on the talks.
One of the very popular symposia during the EWMA conference was the joint BSAC/EWMA Antimicrobial Stewardship Symposium. The entire 2015 symposium is also now available for online streaming via the EWMA website click here.
