Our goal is simply “to provide expertise in wound management”
At the Tissue Viability Society one of our main objectives is to promote learning in the study of tissue viability and by providing speakers with a wealth of knowledge who are keen to share their extensive experiences, a company exhibition to supplement the educational sessions and, most of all, promote motivation through education to improve the care we give to individuals, these really are the FREE study events YOU should be attending!
Foundation Study Days
These offer a half day session (you can attend morning or afternoon) and are aimed at care assistants, general nurses, trained nurses and those returning to clinical practice to update their knowledge.
The event can count for up to 3 hours of participatory learning for your NMC Revalidation and the following topics are covered:
- Pressure ulcer prevention and management
- Wound assessment and management
Advanced Study Days
These are a BRAND NEW offering from the TVS and are aimed at speciality areas such as Paediatrics, Lower Limb, SSI etc and are designed for those who are confident in wound assessment and dressing selection and for registered nurses and allied health professionals.
Each event can count for up to 5 hours of participatory learning for your NMC Revalidation and Advanced Study Days about the following topics are being planned:
- Wound care for children – 27 April, 2020, Watford
- Infection and surgical wounds
- Lower Limb
- Pressure Ulcers and Moisture Associated Skin Damage (MASD)
- Writing business cases and publications
